3. Matters Arising

3.01 Seats
Richard noted that he hadn't forgotten.

3.02 Website
Adam provided the latest stats for March and April. Also that there were some new sections on the site about what the Friends do and had a contact to develop further info on Gledhow Hall and its bathroom.

4. Traffic Calming

Adrian noted he had walked along the Road with Highways, but felt that they were note particularly keen to do anything, other than some junction alterations with Gledhow Lane.
Agreed that he would try and contact local councillors to keep the issue in their minds and that the Funday would hopefully help raise awareness.
ACTION - Adrian contact councillors and bring along his maps.
ACTION - Richard - to provide "blank" map for Funday.

5. Funday Saturday 18th May

Richard noted that he had not been able to get WWF, Circus, Face painter, or heard back from several groups he had asked to come along. However, marquees and generator were sorted out, BTCV coming to do wishing sticks etc. He would try and contact an artist and could provide kite making stuff. He would also try and get hold of a laptop to show some of the website.
Martin noted that the potter was coming, but not beekeepers. He would contact Pennie Keech and John Shute and arrange tea, coffee etc.
Martin also noted that he had got 5000 flyers, most of which would be distributed by "Safeway" leafleters. Adrian would take some to the library; Joan would distribute some and Richard would send out to all on mailing list.
Peter noted he would try and contact a clown.

6. Action Mornings

Path maintenance near the old Gipton Spa Bath House; litter collection.

Boardwalk, gravel path and steps construction; litter collection.

Do more path works near Brackenwoods, and litter picking.

7. AOB

7.01 Richard resigned
Richard noted he had resigned from his post with LCC and would be leaving on 20th June.
Agreed that the group needs to consider how it deals with some things such as mailings, obtaining grants, Funday next year, etc.
Richard would provide contact details for Parks staff etc. and the mailing list.

8. Date of Next Meeting

Thursday 13th June 2002 8pm at the 3 Hulets, Harrogate Road, Chapel Allerton.
