Volunteering
FGVW is run entirely by volunteers, and there are lots of ways to get involved — whatever time you have to give.
Action mornings
Our regular volunteer work parties carry out practical conservation tasks in the woods — path maintenance, vegetation management, and habitat improvements. No experience or equipment is necessary, and all ages are welcome.
Water testing
Our citizen science water quality programme is always looking for volunteers to help monitor Gledhow Beck. Training is provided.
The Green Fair
Our annual Green Fair is made possible entirely by volunteers — helping with set-up, stewarding, and running activities on the day.
Committee & trustees
If you'd like to take a more active role in how FGVW is run, we're always glad to hear from people interested in joining the committee or standing as a trustee.
