A new zebra crossing has been installed near the junction of Gledhow Valley Road and Allerton Grange Way, funded jointly by councillors from Moortown and Chapel Allerton wards.
The crossing creates a safer link between the Gledhow Valley Woods walking trail and the footpath leading up to Chapel Allerton Park, making it easier for pedestrians — especially children and families — to move safely between these two green spaces.
Ward councillors welcomed the crossing as providing “a link between the trail through Gledhow Valley Woods and the path up to Chapel Allerton Park.”
FGVW had long advocated for improved pedestrian facilities at this point on Gledhow Valley Road, and we are delighted to see this improvement in place.
