Revenue Officers Go Back to Nature

On Wednesday 15th October, 10 Inland Revenue Officers led by Mike Boyes from the Leeds Office took advantage of a scheme to aid local voluntary organisations. They had decided to give their time to help the Friends of Gledhow Valley Woods with a special Action Day, which included path maintenance and woodland management including stream clearing and tree pruning.

At the end of the day, seventeen metres of path including steps had been re-laid, part of the stream which had been blocked up had been cleared and some of the trees on the triangle of land at the junction of Gledhow Valley Road and Allerton Grange Way had been pruned back to improve the sight line for motorists and assist the grass cutters.

To see some pictures from the day and find out more about what went on, please see the Team Building Action Day For Leeds Tax Office Staff page in the Events Gallery section.

Family Funday 2003 Pictures Now Online

This year's Family Funday was bigger and better than ever, and was very well attended despite the awful weather. A big thanks is due to all the FGVW Core Group and other volunteers who helped organise and run the event; to everyone who helped by donating home-made refreshments; to Tesco for providing extremely nice doughnuts, cookies and drinks; to the several hundred people who braved the rain to attend; and especially to FGVW Chair Martin Calvert who brought it all together.

Photos from the day are now available in the Events Gallery, and there's also a 360 panoramic image showing the event in full swing.
